According to the Swedish company Quirium, approximately 250 websites were cloned, translated into Chinese, and published with the addition of ads for a Chinese football gambling website - "188bet" via the link to "520xingyun.com/from/188bet.php." Cloned websites include those of various organizations, including educational institutions, universities, and businesses, particularly, yet not exclusively, in the Philippines. Quirium's analysis correlated these activities with a United Kingdom-registered business entity which, in turn, is controlled by a Gibraltar-based company.
